Our projects

Mercy Welfare Society is a platform of hope, opportunity, and transformation.

At Mercy Welfare Society, we believe that every child, woman, and family deserves a chance to live with dignity, education, and purpose.
We are more than just an NGO — we are a platform that empowers lives through education, support, skill-building, and community development.

Since 2001, our mission has been to reach the underserved, uplift the vulnerable, and create long-term impact where it is needed most. Through our various projects, we are working to build a stronger, more educated, and more compassionate society.

Our initiatives are designed not just to help people for a moment — but to transform lives for the future.

Our core areas of activity include the following:

  • Tuition and academic support Centre
  • Women empowerment and skill development
  • Non-Formal Education (NFE) for Dropouts – Education for underprivileged children
  • (Digital Shiksha) Computer Centre and skill development Centre
  • General Duty Assistant (GDA) Training Program
  • Youth Community development program
  • Career Guidance workshop

Tuition and academic support Centre

Located in Gautampuri, The Tuition Centre is a community-based education initiative by Mercy Welfare Society.

Since 2001, we have been supporting children from underserved families through daily tuition classes, foundational learning, homework help, and personal guidance.

Our mission is to ensure that no child is left behind due to lack of support or opportunity.

With an impact of 5000+ children, this project continues to support students who need extra help, encouragement, and access to better learning opportunities.

Our Digital Shiksha initiative is focused on equipping underprivileged children, youth, women, and job seekers with basic digital awareness and practical learning opportunities. With an impact on 100+ learners, this program is not only bridging the digital and educational gap, but has also helped create employment opportunities for several participants.

Women Empowerment

Our Women Empowerment initiative is designed to equip underprivileged women with practical skills and creative opportunities that can support personal growth and self-reliance. Through our Sewing Centre and Quilling Paper Craft training, we are helping women build confidence, develop talent, and move toward a more empowered future.

Non-Formal Education (NFE) for Dropouts

Many children living in Delhi’s slum communities come from families with extremely low incomes and challenging circumstances. Some are involved in rag-picking, while others have dropped out of school to support their families. To address this, Mercy Welfare Society runs three Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centre, providing free basic education and learning support to children in need. Through this initiative, we are helping restore access to education, rebuild confidence, and create pathways for children to be reintegrated into government schools for a brighter future.

Impact: Reaching underprivileged children through 3 active NFE Centre in Delhi and helping them move back into mainstream education.

GENERAL DUTY ASSISTANT (GDA) TRAINING PROGRAM

Our General Duty Assistant (GDA) Training Program is focused on equipping underprivileged youth and job seekers with practical healthcare support skills and career-oriented learning. With an impact on 50+ participants, this initiative, participants receive exposure to patient care, hygiene, hospital assistance, and professional conduct—helping them build confidence and prepare for employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Impact: Empowering 50+ underprivileged youth and job seekers through healthcare support training.

Youth Community Development Program

Our Youth Community Development Program is focused on empowering young people through engaging group activities, personal growth experiences, leadership-building sessions, and community-based learning opportunities. This initiative creates a positive space where youth can connect, learn, build confidence, and grow into responsible individuals with a stronger sense of purpose and direction.

Through interactive sessions, team-building activities, and value-based learning, we aim to inspire youth toward personal development, social responsibility, and a more hopeful future.
