Our Founder

I know what it feels like to grow up with limited opportunities. That is why my heart has always been for those who are struggling, especially children and families who need support, education, and hope. Through Mercy Welfare Society, our mission is to serve with love, faith, and compassion, and to become a blessing to those in need.” — Ashish Lal

Ashish Lal, the founder of Mercy Welfare Society, is a man whose life story reflects resilience, faith, and a deep passion for serving humanity.

Coming from a humble background, he personally experienced poverty, lack of opportunities, and the challenges that many underprivileged families face every day. During his childhood, life was not easy, and access to resources and opportunities was limited. However, through God’s grace, perseverance, and the support he received along the way, he was able to rise above those struggles and build a life dedicated to helping others.

Because he once walked through those hardships himself, his heart has always been deeply connected to the pain, needs, and dreams of the less privileged.

Along with his passion for social upliftment, Ashish Lal is also a Pastor, committed to serving people spiritually as well as socially. He pursued his studies at Bible College, where his faith and vision for community service became even stronger.

He believes that true transformation happens not only through words, but through love in action, education, support, and compassion.

This calling inspired him to dedicate his life to reaching those who are often forgotten by society.

His journey of service began in Gautampuri, where he started working among underprivileged communities with a sincere desire to make a difference.

Seeing the struggles of children who lacked proper educational support, he took a practical step and started tuition classes for children, giving them a place to learn, grow, and dream beyond their circumstances.

What began as a small effort of compassion slowly became a larger mission — one that aimed not only to educate children, but to uplift families, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for a better future.

The organization Mercy Welfare Society holds a deeply personal and meaningful identity.

It was named after his wife, Mercy, whose name beautifully reflects the heart and foundation of the organization itself.

The name “Mercy” represents compassion, kindness, grace, and love — values that continue to guide the mission of the society every day.

This journey was not built alone.

Ashish Lal and his wife, Mercy, worked together with dedication and compassion to serve the poor and needy. Together, they reached out to children, families, and communities with a shared vision to bring hope where there was hardship and support where there was need.

Their service became a reflection of love in action — helping others not just through words, but through sacrifice, care, and consistent effort.

Today, Ashish Lal’s life stands as a testimony of transformation — from someone who once faced limited opportunities to someone who now works to create opportunities for others.

His journey is a reminder that when faith, compassion, and action come together, lives can truly be changed. Through Mercy Welfare Society, his vision continues to inspire hope, uplift communities, and build a brighter future for generations to come.

With hearts full of gratitude for all that God has freely given, the mission continues with the belief:

“Freely received, freely given.”
